Platform Engineer - CLEARABLE

Bestgate Engineering is looking for Platform Software Engineers! Hybrid work options are available from the Columbia, MD area.

  • Engineer resilient AWS platforms design, build and manage cloud infrastructure as code, combining Python / Go development with Kubernetes orchestration and robust Linux fundamentals.
  • Integrate & optimize at scale – enhance existing codebases, blend open-source components, and deliver Big Data cloud solutions from prototype to production while aligning with team architects.
  • Development Automate deployments (Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD), harden security, and troubleshoot complex systems across hosts, networks and applications.
  • Hybrid workstyle – collaborate with a high-caliber team; average 1-2 days a week on-site in Columbia, MD with flexible scheduling.
  • Baseline requirements  5+ years platform engineering or software dev, proven AWS deployment experience, strong Bash/Shell scripting, sharp problemsolving, and U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Nice to have – DISA Big Data Platform or Hadoop-family experience, GitLab/Jenkins pipelines, Agile toolchains (Jira, Confluence), and config-management/virtualization tools (Ansible, Puppet, VMware, etc.).

Salary Range:
$125,000-175,000
